Pypah herself is a passionate artist who brings drawings to life through her unique illustration technique. She uses her channel to share her vibrant and colourful style and offer her audience intimate drawing guides to develop their own artistic ability. The channel also acts as a powerful mindfulness tool for viewers and art-lovers to escape into the therapeutic world of creativity and inspiration. Within eight years, Pypah has been able to build her subscriber base to 790,000 and her videos have been viewed over 36 million times!

YouTube is such a lovely platform to be on as an artist. The art community is so supportive and keen on learning from each other. Fans of my art have always been interested in learning more about my style, this inspired me to set up my YouTube channel. It has been an amazing journey and I am proud that I am now part of this incredible YouTube community.
Tom Pemberton Farm Life
Farming

Tom Pemberton’s channel is all about showing viewers what life is like on a traditional UK farm. He explains where food comes from by giving a real flavour of typical farm life, showing the processes behind the food on our plates and providing viewers with the opportunity to make our own choices about food consumption. The channel promotes British farming, meat and dairy and is becoming more popular by the day. Tom’s channel has grown from 100,000 to over 300,000 subscribers in recent months, with some of his videos receiving millions of views.

What I like about YouTube is that I can tell my story. No thrills, just the way I live my life. Luckily for me, my following is growing because people worldwide want to learn where their food comes from and YouTube gives them that opportunity and allows me to teach them!
Jay's Virtual Pub Quiz
Entertainment Learning

At the beginning of the UK’s first national lockdown in March 2020, Jay started a channel running virtual pub quizzes for his friends. What started with just a small group, quickly snowballed into live quizzes for hundreds of thousands of viewers! As his platform grew, Jay also wanted to use his new following for good. After encouraging his viewers to donate and raising over £800,000, he was awarded an MBE for his astonishing efforts during the pandemic. Since then, Jay has continued to raise money and the total now stands at close to £1million! Jay still live streams quizzes on his channel multiple times a week for followers, running everything from general knowledge quizzes, to Doctor Who and Harry Potter specials - there’s something for everyone!

YouTube enables me to create this content live, but then also have the content available for viewers worldwide to be able to watch immediately afterwards. I’ve loved the journey that I’ve had so far and it's incredible to hear of some viewers reconnecting with friends and family through taking part in the quizzes.
Education

Freesciencelessons is a channel driven by one core belief: education leads to social mobility. This was front of mind when Shaun Donnelly created his YouTube channel in 2013, which has since amassed nearly half a million subscribers and over 100 million views. Shaun has been helping GCSE and A-Level science students over the years, with practical step-by-step lessons on all things from amino acids, proteins, global warming and plant cloning. With no area of the AQA GCSE syllabus left unturned, Shaun has worked tirelessly to support students in unlocking their potential, no matter their background or where they go to school. This is what motivates him every day to create and share his content. In March 2020, Shaun was listed by iNews as an influential ‘edutuber’, which is someone who uses YouTube to promote education. The article noted that his lessons would be vital for children missing out on schooling due to the national lockdown.

As a teacher, I was fascinated with the idea of empowering students to become independent learners. Over the last eight years, Youtube has given me the opportunity to help students all around the world to learn science at their own pace and achieve their goals. Without YouTube, that would never have been possible.
Sport

Rick Shiels Golf is the online home of professional PGA golfer Rick Shiels and one of the biggest golf focused channels on YouTube. Rick uses the channel to provide golf lessons, tips and techniques to his audience of over 1.6 million subscribers. His style is fun and personable, geared towards everyone from the keen, regular golfer, to those with a burgeoning interest who want to find out everything they need to know before hitting the course. Away from teaching, Rick also posts product reviews of the latest golf equipment and makes more entertainment-focused videos, from playing with the ‘world’s tallest golfer’ to matching up against professional musicians or famous sportspeople. Building on the success of his channel, Rick has also set up The Rick Shiels Golf Show Podcast, which has amassed over 100,000 subscribers. Rick and co-host, Guy, have used the platform to interview interesting guests from around the world of golf. During the pandemic, he also turned his platform towards a broader cause for the mental health charity Mind, by walking 18 holes (four miles) with his golf clubs every day and encouraging his subscribers to support.

I aim to make fun, entertaining videos that showcase the wonderful world of golf. I enjoy making coaching videos that help others to play better golf and am pleased that millions of people around the world have used my content to improve their game.
