YouTube in the West Country

Rachel and Nikki use their channel to connect with people all around the world who share a love of sewing and fashion. The Stitch Sisters’ channel is bursting with tutorials, product reviews and exciting updates on new projects being undertaken by the duo. The Stitch Sisters amicable presence invites their audience into their intimate friendship and this has helped build a diverse following on the platform, affectionately known as their ‘Stitch Gang’. The channel has amassed close to 2 million views and has become a useful business tool for Rachel and Nikki who have been able promote their services to a truly global audience. To date, more than 4,000 people have learnt to sew through The Stitch Sisters’ online sewing school.

We started our YouTube channel in late 2015 by simply using our phones to record our videos. We quickly grew a loyal following who gave us the confidence to start an online sewing school. The experience we have gained from filming for YouTube has allowed us to teach people all around the world in a professional setting whilst still having lots of fun on our YouTube channel. YouTube has helped us to establish an online community and broaden our horizons.
